The Gobanimo Political Organization (GPO) is a political movement uniting some of the prominent figures in Somali politics. It is committed to safeguarding, strengthening, and realizing the peace and unity of the Somali people—two of the most vital pillars of national life and existence.
The organization was founded in Mogadishu on April 18, 2025, and its central headquarters are located in the capital of the Federal Republic of Somalia. It also maintains offices in various regions and districts across the country, as well as representatives abroad.
The party was established when key political leaders recognized the Somali people’s urgent need for honest leadership, political stability, national unity, effective governance, lasting security, liberty, and good governance rooted in freedom, social justice, and a development system aligned with the aspirations and ambitions of the Somali people.
The organization’s motto is:
“Security and Justice for All.”
The Gobanimo Organization aspires to build a Somali society that lives in peace, enjoys justice, embraces national unity, cooperation, and solidarity—free from division, tribalism, conflict, fear, hatred, and extremism.
The mission of the organization is to restore the dignity, honor, and power of our people through the sovereignty of the Somali nation. This is based on the principles and political vision that the organization upholds, to affirm the national aspirations and the governance that the Somali people rightfully deserve.
The Gobanimo Organization is founded on a philosophy rooted in justice, fairness, and sustainable development. It believes that: Governance is a service entrusted by the people; and that both the law and the voice of the people are the backbone of a legitimate government.
